TFP welcomes new team member
TFP has recently welcomed a new team member, Caitlin. Caitlin comes to the team after practicing as a primary therapist for six years in Rochester, NY. This writer sat down with Caitlin to discuss what she is looking forward to about being part of TFP.
What most excites you about being part of TFP?
Caitlin: I am excited about working with a variety of ages and being in schools providing education on healthy relationships.
What have you enjoyed about the TFP groups you have been a part of so far?
Caitlin: I like the level of engagement in the groups. It’s really about getting participants to dive into the lessons and explore their opinions and thoughts.
Why is the TFP program important?
Caitlin: We don’t live in bubbles so relationships are part of our everyday life, whether intimate relationships, coworker relationships, friend or family relationships. Knowing how to have healthier relationships leads to happier, higher functioning people.
What’s the best relationship advice anyone ever gave you?
Caitlin: My mom – she always said, “Be careful with your heart.” Be careful with letting yourself get emotionally tied up, be cautious with not letting those physical chemicals cloud your judgment. It’s also important to be open about what you want and value, and not compromise on any of your core values.
